Industree Foundation has already secured India's first FSC Forest Management certification for 6,671 women bamboo farmers in Karnataka and Maharashtra. The organization has signed similar MoUs with SRLMs in six other states. The initiative targets fallow and unutilized land, with bamboo providing steady incomes from the fourth year of harvest and yields continuing for over forty years, alongside carbon credit accreditation opportunities.
