Indonesia used the Pre-COP31 Leaders' Event in Fiji to argue that countries have enough pledges and need to focus on delivery. Environment Minister Moh. Jumhur Hidayat said the world's problem is no longer raising ambition but turning commitments into action on the ground. He pointed to Indonesia's net zero 2060 target and programs like FOLU Net Sink 2030, waste and methane cuts, and low-carbon industrial development. Ministers also adopted the Taku Pakasoa Declaration, which backs small island states and least developed countries on emissions cuts, climate impacts, and loss and damage. The next test is whether COP31 in Antalya produces concrete funding and implementation mechanisms, not just statements.
