Indonesia is working with the United Nations Environment Programme to strengthen its forestry carbon markets and REDD+ implementation. The collaboration focuses on creating a transparent framework for carbon trading to help the country reach its FOLU Net Sink 2030 goals. New regulations, including Forestry Ministerial Regulation Number 6 of 2026, aim to provide investors with clearer rules on project development and verification. The two parties are also exploring blended finance and innovative funding for national park conservation.
