Hitting 50% capacity is a big number, but capacity is not the same as generation. I want to see the actual curtailment rates and how much of this is actually hitting the grid during peak hours. What is the current transmission bottleneck looking like for these new projects?

Basically, India is moving from doing this because they were told to, to doing it because it saves money. The mention of carbon linked trade is key. If they can't prove low carbon intensity, their exports will get hit by tariffs.

Lots of talk about utility scale PV, but I wonder how much of this economic story applies to industrial heat. Replacing coal boilers in factories is a much harder financial lift than just buying solar power from a PPA.
