The Indian government is preparing a financial incentive package exceeding 35,000 crore rupees to accelerate coal gasification. This initiative aims to reach a national capacity of 100 million tonnes by 2030, reducing reliance on imported LNG, ammonia, and urea. These projects focus on converting coal into Direct Reduced Iron and hydrogen, aiming to lower carbon emissions while strengthening domestic energy security.
