India's clean industry project pipeline has expanded by 30% over six months, now ranking third globally after China and the US. The Mission Possible Partnership tracker lists 65 projects across 11 states, covering green ammonia, green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel, and low-carbon aluminium. The total estimated investment opportunity is $433 billion. Green ammonia dominates with 49 projects, while sustainable aviation fuel is gaining traction. Key players include AM Green, ACME, Indian Oil, NTPC, and Vedanta. Projects are spread across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Low-carbon aluminium from Vedanta is interesting. Aluminium is hard to abate. If they actually shift to green power and electrolysis, that is real decarbonization. But capex is brutal.

Vedanta has bauxite and alumina in Odisha. If they pair that with solar or wind and green hydrogen for heat, it could work. But the payback period will be long without carbon pricing.
