IGBC Summit in Chandigarh Pushes Green Buildings and Net-Zero Urban Growth

The event brought together policymakers, developers, and architects to discuss how the Chandigarh Tricity region can scale low-carbon construction and net-zero buildings. Key speakers highlighted that the region has over 1,700 registered green building projects covering 1.09 billion square feet, including 23 net-zero projects. Sessions covered topics like net-zero building frameworks, low-carbon construction technologies, water-efficient infrastructure, and sustainable finance. The summit called for stronger collaboration between government, industry, and financial institutions to accelerate adoption of high-performance buildings across the region.
