IEAT, GULF1, and GPSC Form RenerGIE JV for 17.5 MW Solar at Map Ta Phut Industrial Port
kaohooninternational.comThailand's Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), along with GULF1 and Global Power Synergy (GPSC), have signed a shareholders' agreement to establish RenerGIE Company Limited. The joint venture will develop a 17.5 MWp solar power project on a 92-rai silt pond area within the Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Development Phase 3. The project aims to supply clean electricity to industrial operators, support Thailand's carbon neutrality and net-zero goals, and generate additional revenue for IEAT through dividends and service fees. GULF1 holds a 37.5% stake, GPSC holds 37.5%, and IEAT holds 25% in the JV. The solar plant will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Map Ta Phut industrial area and serve as a model for using underutilized land for clean energy. Construction and operational details, including expected generation and emissions reduction, have not been disclosed yet.
