Hyundai Motor has partnered with the Korea Forest Service and TreePlanet to restore wildfire damaged forests in South Gyeongsang Province. The project uses modified IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9 vehicles as drone stations to plant seed balls in hard to reach areas and monitor forest growth. Beyond planting, the initiative focuses on datafication of tree growth and the precise measurement of carbon absorption. This three year agreement integrates ICT based management to build a sustainable forest ecosystem and expand Korean forestry technology globally.
