Hyundai Motor Group is partnering with ten Korean and Hong Kong companies to build a hydrogen ecosystem. The project focuses on converting methane from landfills into hydrogen to fuel passenger and commercial vehicles, reducing the city's reliance on energy imports. This initiative targets Hong Kong's specific geography, where limited space makes large scale solar and wind farms difficult. By utilizing waste gas and expanding charging infrastructure, the group aims to decarbonize logistics and public transport in the region.
