Hyundai Motor Group is partnering with ten companies to establish a hydrogen value chain in Hong Kong. The project focuses on converting landfill gas into low-carbon hydrogen to power commercial vehicles, including airport shuttles and tour buses, as part of the city's 2050 carbon neutrality goal. The initiative includes the construction of liquid hydrogen refueling stations and production facilities. Hyundai aims to have a fully operational, self-sustaining hydrogen ecosystem in Hong Kong by the end of 2030, using the city as a strategic hub for further expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.
