Hyundai Motor and Korea's aid agency KOICA are sending 15 Elec City electric buses to Marrakech, Morocco as part of an official development assistance project. The buses are the first Korean-made e-buses for Morocco and will run on tourist district routes. The package includes fast chargers, local training, and technical cooperation for maintenance. Morocco plans to cut emissions by 45.5% from business-as-usual by 2030 and reach carbon neutrality by 2050. This project supports the country's low-carbon transport shift. The handover ceremony took place at Hyundai's Jeonju plant, with full delivery expected after production finishes, and a local event planned for Q1 2027.
