Hydron Energy is deploying a new renewable natural gas platform at the Bailey Landfill in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The project uses a proprietary metal organic framework to remove nitrogen and carbon dioxide from biogas at ambient pressure, aiming to lower the cost of RNG production. By simplifying the upgrading process into a single stage, the system reduces the energy and capital requirements typically associated with landfill gas. The project is supported by FortisBC, the City of Chilliwack, and funding from the National Research Council of Canada.
