Hwawoo LLC and SDX Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop legal and technical services for the voluntary carbon market. The partnership focuses on carbon reduction certification, ESG compliance, and navigating international regulations such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. This move comes as the South Korean government works to establish a formal exchange and legislative framework to institutionalize the voluntary carbon market, shifting carbon reduction from a corporate cost to a value driving business model.
