Husk Power Systems has expanded its decentralized renewable energy network to serve 2.2 million people across Africa and Asia. With an installed capacity of 47.4 MW across 400 communities, the company provides reliable solar power in regions where national grids are absent or unstable. The expansion has resulted in the avoidance of over 83,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Husk is also partnering with the World Bank and Swedfund to study how these solar minigrids drive local economic growth and productivity in Nigeria.
