Hubexo operates under a group-wide climate framework with targets to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2045, aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative. Plans for 2026 include eliminating fossil fuel heating and improving supplier engagement through new ESG technology.

The Newcastle office relocation to a BREEAM excellent-rated building with 100% renewable electricity is the kind of operational change that actually reduces emissions at source. 60 tCO2e per year is not huge but it is a permanent reduction. The tree planting through Carma Earth is a nice add-on but the real work is in the building efficiency and the planned fossil fuel heating elimination for 2026.
