HSBC has introduced a $4 billion sustainability and transition credit facility in China to help low-carbon and clean energy companies scale internationally. Vietnam is a primary target for this funding due to its aggressive electrification goals and high EV adoption rates. The move aligns with Vietnam's national power sector plan, which requires an estimated $134.3 billion for generation and transmission by 2030. The facility will provide streamlined credit and tailored financing for sectors including clean power, transport electrification, and battery materials.
