The green power rate is at 22.81%. That is a start, but for a company making the hardware for the energy transition, I expected a much higher percentage of their own plants to be solarized. What is the roadmap to get that number closer to 100%?
It usually comes down to the local grid rules in Hangzhou. Even with rooftop PV, you often can't hit 100% without massive onsite storage or specific regulatory carve-outs for industrial zones.
Standard ESG report. They are reporting 4,285.90 tCO2e in emissions, but it is not clear if this is just Scope 1 and 2 or if they are actually tracking Scope 3. The supply chain for inverters is where the real carbon is.
Interesting to see them get the model enterprise label in Hangzhou. I wonder what the actual payback period was on that rooftop PV install given the local industrial electricity rates.
