DJI Agriculture reports that precision drone technology is significantly cutting the environmental footprint of coffee and crop production. By utilizing spot-spraying and automated seeding, farmers can reduce herbicide use by up to 35 percent and eliminate soil compaction caused by heavy machinery. According to the 2025/2026 Agricultural Drone Insight Report, these technologies have helped save 410 million tonnes of water and reduce carbon emissions by 51 million tonnes globally. The shift toward automation in Brazil's coffee sector demonstrates a scalable model for reducing emissions in large-scale agriculture.
