Hooxi Partners helps Korean businesses turn emissions cuts into carbon credit revenue
koreatimes.co.krHooxi Partners, a Seoul based climate fintech, is trying to make carbon credits a revenue source for small and mid sized businesses in Korea. Its Carbon AI platform handles emissions measurement, project verification, and credit sales. The company has already aggregated 272 electric bus operators into approved carbon projects representing about 450,000 tons of government approved reductions, with a pipeline of 1.8 million tons. To close the funding gap, Hooxi uses forward sales of future carbon credits, with one deal done through Hyundai Motor Securities. It is also working with Oriental Brewery and 15 suppliers on Scope 3 measurement, a market that is growing because of the EU's CBAM. The company plans to expand into solar and heat pumps in Korea and move into Southeast Asia, with a Kosdaq listing targeted for 2028.
