The Tianyun camera, a multi-spectral imaging carbon observer developed in Hong Kong, has been deployed to the Tiangong space station. This compact, high-resolution detector is designed to identify and monitor specific point sources of carbon dioxide and methane emissions from orbit. By providing precise data on greenhouse gas leaks and emissions, the technology aims to improve the accuracy of carbon tracking. The device was delivered via the Tianzhou-10 cargo spacecraft and will be operated as part of the Shenzhou-23 mission.
