Hong Kong and Dongguan are collaborating to establish a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production base. The project, led by EcoCeres, will utilize advanced technology to convert waste cooking oil into certified low-carbon fuel for the aviation sector. This partnership combines Hong Kong's financial and research capabilities with Dongguan's industrial infrastructure and raw material supply. The initiative aims to reduce aviation lifecycle emissions by over 80 percent and supports regional carbon reduction goals.
