Holcim is expanding its low-carbon cement offerings in the US market to help builders reduce the embodied carbon of concrete. By replacing a portion of energy-intensive clinker with limestone and other supplementary materials, these cements aim to lower CO2 emissions by at least 30 percent without requiring changes to existing construction workflows. These materials are designed for use in residential slabs, foundations, and infrastructure projects.
