Holcim and Paebbl have deployed the first commercial carbon-storing floor slab at a logistics facility in Germany. By replacing 15% of traditional cement with Paebbl's Rebond technology, the project reduced the concrete's embodied carbon by 13% without affecting workability or setting times. Additionally, the UK has seen its first residential use of calcined clay concrete at Brent Cross Town. This method replaces 30% of Portland cement with materials sourced from waste bricks, cutting embodied carbon by 10% and promoting circular economy practices in urban development.
