Himadri Speciality Chemical is diversifying its portfolio to focus on electric vehicle battery materials and import substitution chemicals. The company is developing a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material plant and has already commissioned an anode material facility to support EV and energy storage growth. Beyond batteries, the company is scaling production of speciality carbon black and establishing new facilities for anthraquinone and carbazole. These moves aim to reduce reliance on imports for dyes and pigments while expanding into the electric vehicle tyre market by FY28.
