Himadri Speciality Chemical is expanding into the electric vehicle supply chain with plans to commission 2,000 MTPA of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material by Q3 FY27. The company aims to support 100 GWh of lithium ion battery demand over the next five years. In addition to battery materials, Himadri has increased its speciality carbon black capacity to 250,000 MTPA at its Mahistikry facility. This expansion supports high value applications in batteries, conductive solutions, and green industrial coatings.
