Himadri Speciality Chemical record quarter: Advanced materials and battery tech push
chemicals.economictimes.indiatimes.comHimadri Speciality Chemical posted its strongest ever quarterly results for June 2026, with revenue at Rs 1,432 crore and a 22 percent EBITDA margin. The company credited the performance to a shift toward higher margin specialty materials and new energy products. The firm is investing Rs 70 crore in a carbon nanotube plant and Rs 170 crore to convert carbon black into super specialty grades for electronics and EVs. It also commissioned a 200 MTPA anode materials facility in West Bengal and is moving ahead with a 2,000 MTPA LFP cathode plant. A stake increase in International Battery Company and funding secured by portfolio firm Sicona from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency show a focused battery supply chain strategy. Himadri also received the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for the second straight year, placing it in the top one percent globally for sustainability. The results show how a traditional chemical manufacturer is pivoting into energy transition materials while maintaining financial discipline.
