Himadri Speciality Chemical has commissioned its first anode material manufacturing facility in West Bengal, marking a strategic move into the lithium-ion battery supply chain. The company is also developing a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material project with a target capacity of 40,000 metric tons per annum. Beyond battery materials, the company expanded its speciality carbon black capacity and is developing new plants for anthraquinone and carbazole to reduce import dependency. These moves support the broader transition toward electric mobility and industrial energy storage.
