Hilton Yala Resort implemented several environmental projects for Earth Week 2026, including planting over 100 native trees to support carbon sequestration and biodiversity. The resort also focused on reducing single use plastics and managing food waste to lower its overall environmental footprint. To reduce energy use, the resort held daily energy conservation hours, resulting in a 10% drop in evening power consumption. These efforts are part of a broader ESG framework aimed at reducing carbon emissions and water usage in Sri Lanka.
