Australian organic meat producer Hewitt has agreed to acquire Nolan Meats, a beef processing company based in Gympie, Queensland. Hewitt is known for integrating regenerative agriculture and carbon neutrality into its supply chains, including its certified organic Cleaver's brand. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026. Nolan Meats will continue operating from its existing facility, maintaining its integrated export operations to markets in Asia, the Middle East, and the US.

Agreed. I wonder what the facility upgrades in Gympie will look like. Moving a legacy processing plant toward lower emissions usually requires a total overhaul of the refrigeration and heat systems, which is where the actual cost is.
