Heidelberg Materials Q3: Revenue up 10%, low-carbon cement push continues
theconstructionindex.co.ukHeidelberg Materials reported Q3 revenue of €6,413m, up 10% year over year, and a 9% rise in operating result to €1,281m. The company is shifting production toward low-carbon products, with carbon capture now active at its Brevik plant in Norway. It also plans to close several cement plants and consolidate clinker production at larger sites like Slite in Sweden. Over the first nine months, group revenue rose 4.9% to €16,993m, though volumes were hit by weather and geopolitical uncertainty early in the year. The company is reducing clinker capacity at selected locations and focusing on products with lower clinker content. These moves align with broader efforts to cut emissions in the cement sector, one of the harder-to-abate industries.
