HD Hyundai, Hanwha Ocean showcase LNG, CO2 carriers and floating data center tech at Gastech 2026

HD Hyundai affiliates have models of LNG carriers, floating storage and regasification units, and a 35,000-cubic-meter liquefied CO2 carrier. The group is also seeking design appraisal from Lloyd's Register for an LNG carrier with bow accommodation and wind-assisted propulsion. Hanwha Ocean is unveiling a 60-megawatt floating data center concept with onboard power generation and seawater cooling, plus a 174,000-cubic-meter LNG carrier powered by an ammonia gas turbine electric propulsion system designed to run without pilot oil. The event runs Monday through Thursday and is expected to draw more than 50,000 visitors.
