The company is now exporting these units to a Swedish power company to replace equipment using sulfur hexafluoride, a potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential 23,500 times that of CO2. This move aligns with updated EU F-gas regulations that will completely ban SF6 in circuit breakers over 145 kV by 2032. HD Hyundai Electric plans to expand its eco-friendly lineup, including 420 kV products, to meet growing European demand for decarbonized grid infrastructure by 2028.
