Hazer Group has received a new patent from the Japanese Patent Office for its proprietary methane pyrolysis process. This technology allows for the production of clean hydrogen and graphitic carbon using an iron oxide catalyst, providing a decarbonization path for heavy industry. Japan is a key target market for Hazer due to its high reliance on natural gas and limited domestic carbon capture and storage capacity. The company is currently working with partners including Chubu Electric, Chiyoda Corporation, and Mitsui to deploy these solutions.
