Hays Travel wins Yu Energy sustainability award for cutting carbon emissions with smart meters and solar panels

Hays Travel has set a target to be carbon neutral by 2030. The award from Yu Energy, a supplier of green electricity and carbon neutral gas, points to practical steps like refurbishing branches for energy efficiency and adding food waste bins. Ken Campling, Hays Travel's group finance director, said the company is committed to carbon neutrality by 2030 and that teams across head office and branches are consistently innovating around green initiatives and recycling. The agency has been a Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin green power customer for years and installed EV charging points and PV panels at its head office.
