Hanwha Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Alberta to develop next-generation low-carbon technologies. The collaboration focuses on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), waste heat recovery systems, and Turbo Expander Generators to improve industrial energy efficiency. This partnership is part of the Industrial and Technological Benefits program linked to a major Canadian submarine project. It aims to validate the commercial feasibility of energy recycling technologies within the North American market through joint research and economic assessments.
