Agreed. The pipeline is the bottleneck. Also curious how much of the hydrogen will actually be low carbon vs blue with CCS. The article mentions CCS but no capture rate or storage site details yet.

CCS is mentioned but no capture rate or storage location. That matters a lot for the zero carbon claim. Also the timeline for Project ONE is unclear. 2026 date in the article but no operational target.

The VOKA AKT declaration is a good sign for policy alignment but the real test is whether the CCS hub gets final investment decision. Without that, the hydrogen is blue at best and the zero carbon label is marketing.

Steam crackers are hard to electrify so hydrogen and CCS make sense here. But the cost per ton of ethylene will tell the story. If the hydrogen is expensive, the premium for low carbon chemicals might not stick.
