Gulf Cryo and EMSTEEL have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a fully integrated carbon dioxide business model. The partnership focuses on capturing CO2 at the source and deploying downstream utilization and storage technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of steel manufacturing in the UAE. This initiative builds on existing regional efforts, including EMSTEEL's project with Adnoc that captures up to 800,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. The collaboration aims to scale industrial decarbonization and create low-carbon ecosystems within the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
