The Natural Climate Solutions Alliance has released a guide on Jurisdictional REDD+ (JREDD+) programs. These systems move beyond individual projects to address deforestation at national or subnational scales, aiming to provide higher integrity carbon credits by tackling systemic drivers of forest loss. The guide details the full lifecycle of JREDD+ programs, including stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and credit issuance. It also outlines how the private sector can participate through forward purchase agreements, spot purchases, and up-front financing to support biodiversity and emissions reductions.
