GreenYellow has signed an agreement with Vina Paper to install a 2.036 MWp rooftop solar system at the company's factory in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam. The system is expected to generate around 2,306 MWh of clean electricity per year and avoid an estimated 1,520 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The project gives Vina Paper, a tissue paper manufacturer and subsidiary of Thai conglomerate BJC, a direct source of on-site renewable power for its production processes. For energy-intensive industries like pulp and paper, rooftop solar can reduce exposure to grid electricity costs while supporting corporate ESG targets. The deal is part of GreenYellow's broader push into Vietnam's industrial solar market. It also reflects a growing trend of manufacturers using factory rooftops to cut both carbon footprints and operating costs.
