Greenplinth Africa and Allgreen Energy Partner for $10 Billion Clean Cookstove Project in Nigeria
thesun.ngGreenplinth Africa and Allgreen Energy NV have signed a $10 billion agreement to manufacture 24 million clean cookstoves for Nigerian households. This initiative is part of a larger project aiming to distribute 80 million stoves to reduce reliance on traditional biomass and combat deforestation. The project expects to generate 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 offsets annually over 15 years. By replacing firewood and charcoal with efficient technology and briquettes, the program aims to lower greenhouse gas emissions and improve indoor air quality for millions of people.
