Oxfordshire housebuilder Greencore Homes has picked up three regional awards for its low-carbon construction work. At the Cherwell Business Awards the company won the Innovation Award and the overall prize, and at the Thames Valley Property Awards its 42-home Canopies scheme in Milton Heights was named Residential Development of the Year. Greencore builds with the Biond Building System, a closed-panel timber frame insulated with hemp, lime and natural wood fibre. The Canopies uses off-site timber construction, Passivhaus design principles, air source heat pumps and solar panels. The company says the awards reflect its focus on delivering energy-efficient homes commercially and at scale across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.
