Green360 signs binding deal with Holcim Australia for low-carbon cement replacement MKX-CC
tipranks.comGreen360 Technologies has signed its first binding commercial supply agreement with Holcim Australia for up to 4,800 tonnes of MKX-CC, a low-carbon calcined clay cement replacement. The 12-month deal covers Holcim's Victorian concrete operations and follows Green360's start of commercial production in April 2026. This marks a shift from development to commercial execution for the product. The agreement addresses structural shortages of traditional supplementary cementitious materials like fly ash and blast furnace slag, which are declining due to decarbonisation. Calcined clay offers a locally produced alternative for Australia's concrete industry as it seeks to lower emissions. Holcim's adoption provides independent validation of the material's technical performance. Green360's MKX-CC is a high-reactivity metakaolin designed to replace shrinking by-product supplies. The partnership positions the company within a major supply chain serving infrastructure projects in Victoria, where demand for sustainable concrete has been growing. The deal could serve as a platform for additional supply agreements as the market shifts.
