Green Earth Carbon Sales Pipeline Tops $56 Million as Buyers Shift to Forward Offtake Deals
carbonherald.comDutch nature-based carbon developer Green Earth reported a firm sales order book of about $53 million at the end of September, with a broader pipeline above $56 million when an option on its Uganda project is included. The firm order book rose from $47 million at the end of June and is more than 23 times higher than at the end of 2025, driven by long-term offtake agreements for agroforestry credits in Uganda and Kenya. The Uganda deal, tied to the Bulindi Agroforestry and Chimpanzee Conservation Project, accounts for about $4.8 million in firm future sales for deliveries from 2027 through 2031. An option could bring the combined value to $16.3 million. The Mount Kenya Regenerative Agroforestry Project adds a long-term agreement covering more than 1.5 million projected credits over 15 years, with first issuance expected in 2027. The growth reflects a broader move by buyers toward forward contracts to lock in supply, price, and quality. Green Earth says its focus now is on implementation, verification, and issuance across the portfolio, since contracted value only becomes real value once credits are verified and delivered.
