GREE Shows Solar-Powered Air Conditioning and Low-Carbon Cooling at Canton Fair 2026
streetinsider.comGREE presented its latest low-carbon cooling and home appliance lineup at the 140th Canton Fair in Guangzhou, with a focus on solar-powered air conditioning and energy storage. The Zero Carbon Source system combines photovoltaic generation, battery storage, and smart controls to run air conditioners independently of the grid, with DC conversion efficiency up to 99%. GREE says projects using this technology in the Middle East cut carbon emissions by 110,000 metric tons per year. The company also showed compressors built for extreme climates. The G-Boost compressor keeps cooling performance at temperatures up to 68°C, while the G-Storm and G-Hyper units target cold regions, with the G-Hyper rated for heating down to -40°C. In commercial HVAC, the GMV9 series includes a compact VRF model designed for retrofits, taking up roughly half the floor space of its predecessor.
