GREE Showcases Low-Carbon Air Conditioning and Photovoltaic Storage at Canton Fair 2026
manilatimes.netGREE brought its low-carbon heating and cooling lineup to the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, with a focus on air conditioners that pair solar generation with battery storage. The Zero Carbon Source system combines PV, storage, and DC power management, and GREE says it can run ACs independent of the public grid. The company also highlighted compressors rated for extreme heat up to 68°C and cold down to -40°C, plus the GMV9 commercial VRF series for retrofits. Those are vendor claims, not independent test results. GREE says projects using the PV-storage AC in the Middle East cut emissions by 110,000 metric tons per year, and its Zero Carbon Source line has drawn attention since Chairperson Dong Mingzhu received a UNEP Cool Coalition award. Buyers at the fair also saw refrigerators, washing machines, and air purifiers, but the climate-relevant news is the push to make cooling equipment part of a solar-plus-storage system.
