m.dailyhunt.inGoogle DeepMind has chosen four Indian startups for the first Asia-Pacific cohort of its AI for the Planet accelerator. Terrastack provides plot-level land intelligence for smallholder farmers, Varaha Climate verifies regenerative agriculture carbon credits using remote sensing, Farmers for Forests uses drone-based monitoring for agroforestry carbon and biodiversity, and Climitra Carbon verifies invasive species removal and biochar production. They join 12 other organizations from across the region working on environmental challenges with AI. Google also announced India-focused initiatives including a Solar API, 150 MW of clean energy procurement, methane reduction work, and an expanded Center for Climate Technology.
