Google and Anthropic Join Frontier's $915 Million Carbon Removal Fund
thekeyexecutives.comFrontier, the carbon removal buying coalition, has raised an additional $915 million from corporate buyers including Google, Anthropic, Stripe, Shopify, Salesforce, and H&M Group. This brings the total committed by the group to $1.8 billion since its launch in 2022. The new funding will be used to sign long-term offtake agreements with 10 to 15 carbon removal companies, with contracts extending up to 2040. Frontier portfolio companies added 1.4 million tons of new annual removal capacity in 2025 and are expected to deliver over 50,000 tons in 2026. The coalition now includes more than 350 corporate buyers across finance, aviation, retail, and other sectors. The goal is to give emerging carbon removal technologies enough demand certainty to scale beyond pilot projects.
