The Good and Green strategy sounds decent on paper, but I want to see the actual carbon accounting methods they use. Carbon neutrality claims are often vague without a detailed breakdown of offsets versus actual emission cuts.
Exactly. The difference between net zero and carbon neutrality is usually just how many credits they buy. If they are just buying cheap offsets, it is not a real transition.
Zero waste to landfill is the most interesting part here. For a conglomerate with chemicals and agricultural inputs, that requires a massive overhaul of their industrial processing and supply chain logistics.
If they are pushing for carbon neutrality in chemicals, they will need serious amounts of green hydrogen or electrification of heat. Does the local grid capacity even support that kind of load increase?
