Global Carbon Council Receives ICVCM CCP Eligibility Approval

The Global Carbon Council (GCC) has been approved by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) for its CCP-eligible projects and issuances. This makes the Qatar-based GCC the only carbon crediting program in the Global South with both ICAO CORSIA accreditation and ICVCM CCP eligibility. With over 213 registered projects across renewable energy, methane avoidance, and waste management, the GCC has issued more than 15 million credits. This approval aims to increase buyer confidence and align Global South carbon projects with high international integrity standards.
